The Franchisor / Franchisee Relationship Unlike most franchises, there is not the need for constant on-site monitoring of operations by the franchisor. Each franchisee will be fully trained in the basic maintenance and cleaning of the coffee machines and the replenishment of the consumables. Assistance will be rendered for the placement of the first of the 10 machines supplied and the franchisee will be responsible for placing the balance of the machines. An Altura Espresso technician will install each machine and thereafter, should a servicing issue arise which cannot be rectified by the franchisee, a technician will provide service at a reasonable hourly rate. Altura Espresso credits much of its success to the very high standard of it’s products. To ensure continuity and quality the franchisee must purchase all equipment, consumables and associated products from Altura Espresso. Communication is an important key to success and Altura Espresso will provide a website to enable franchisees to place orders for consumables; pay for the orders placed; advise the location of each coffee vending machine; provide details of the usage of the machines; communicate any matters for the attention of the Franchisor and to download any bulletins or other advices from the Franchisor. What is involved in becoming a Franchisee No prior knowledge is required to become an Altura Espresso franchisee. You will be provided with comprehensive training and given assistance to locate the first machine (An option exists for 10 fully sited machines). The installation costs are included in the franchise fee for the initial 10 machines. Generally speaking, eight hours are more than enough time to clean and replenish 10 machines. It may suit you to retain someone to carry out that task on your behalf as it normally does not require technical expertise.
